Everything is birthed out of a relationship with God.

that is the first priority. But, if we have a relationship with Christ and we show hardly any or no sign of compassion toward the worlds most urgent needs, Im not sure where that relationship is at.... For Example:

1John 3:16-19We know what real love is because Christ gave up his life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters. But if anyone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need and refuses to help—how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions. It is by our actions that we know we are living in the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before the Lord,

And

Titus 3:14 For our people should not have unproductive lives. They must learn to do good by helping others who have urgent needs..

There are people that died today that didn't need too because of poverty, hunger, poor drinking water and even very common curable disease. Their are kids being sold into sex slavery today because the people who want to get them out don't have a place for them once they get them out. Or worse their isnt enough awareness which in turn allows corrupt governments to be partners with this evil. The Message translation of Genesis says: Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 19:13)" the cries of the victims here to God are deafening". Is their a cry from the the hungry, brutalized, sick that is deafening to God in 2009? Estimated 27,000,000 slaves in 2009....80% of those are sexual with some of those having estimates of 12 abortions in the first 3 years. 30,000 children will die today because of "stupid" poverty...meaning fixable, no reason for poverty... 28,000,000 children will die this year from easily curable disease? If it was deafening to God back then... It must be Dolby Digital Deafening today....we are His to make a difference... See Jesus in the dying child who can be cured by a medication valued at .75 cents!!! See Jesus in the girl who prays and wonders if there is a God who can help her out of the living hell she is in every day. See Jesus where he said he is... "as much as you've done it to the least you've done it unto me."
